audio opensource_audio Mrs. Ashwini Bhide Deshpandey is a well known artist of Hindustani Indian classical vocal music, belonging to the Jaipur Atrauli gharana. Apart from being a well known artist, Ms. Deshpandey is also a doctorate holder in biochemistry. This unusual scientist and classicial music artist was in Bologna (Italy) in November 2008 for a series of concerts and I had an opportunity to talk to her. These audio recordings are some excerpts from that conversation as well as there is an example of one of her compositions in Raag Bhoop from the CD accompanying her book Raagrachananjali.
